My father's name was Joseph, as is mine, but his close friends just called him "Josh". At the end of his workday, he, like many of his friends would tinker around in the garage, laughing, telling stories and working on an old car with spare parts, surprisingly, none that were meant for the original vehicle
After we're done producing our portfolio of Napa Valley wines, we like to sit around "the garage", we call a wine cellar, and tinker ourselves with a few things. Growers we call friends come by and we laugh, tell stories and produce a wine that I fondly refer to as a "vin de garage." Cabernet Sauvignon, complex in taste, but always unassuming and approachable, with big bold flavors that, have their own story to tell. Its funny how all these characteristics, just remind me of someone I knew.
This handcrafted Cabernet Sauvignon hails from the Amber Knolls Vineyard in the North Coast of California's "Red Hills" appellation.
These "vin de garage" wines are a celebration of my friends, my family and a man I called Dad.
