This fresh, brilliant pale-gold Chardonnay shows delicate varietal aromas with flavors of apple and melon offset by citrus notes and a crisp acidic balance ending in a clean, lively finish.
Wine Advocate 88 points - The 2013 Macon Villages from Louis Jadot has a well-defined and quite minerally bouquet that opens with confidence in the glass. The palate is well-balanced with a fine line of acidity cutting through the ripe citrus fruit interlaced with orange zest and a touch of apricot. It finishes with style and panache - a very fine Macon Villages that will surely satisfy a vast number of palates (Oct 2014)
The wines are made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. The limestone subsoil of the Monts du Māconnais are ideal for growing the Chardonnay grapes. Some small areas produce exceptional wines. The Louis Jadot Mācon Blanc Villages is made from grapes from these different areas.
