Straw yellow with green reflections. The bouquet isfresh with clean aroma of freshly cut grass, grapefruit. The mouth has medium body, great flavor and a superlative pleasant to drink.
Wine Advocate 87 points - The delightful 2012 Vermentino bursts open with fresh tones of citrus, lemongrass, lime and white flower. The wine (aged in stainless steel with 5% Viognier for extra floral intensity) feels tonic, sharp and does a great job of revitalizing a tired palate. There?s a snappy acidic bite that puts your taste buds on full attention. In essence, this is a simple, easy-drinking white with a lean, compact feel. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2014. (Aug 2013)

Aia Vecchia is located deep in the Tuscan countryside between Bolgheri and Castagneto Carducci. This is an area where the favorable microclimate and ideally suited soils make possible the production of very high quality wines. The particular position of the vineyards provides the vines with both direct sunlight and sunlight reflected by the sea. This in general allows an early harvest. The property consists of 170 acres 118 are vineyards, 74 of which are under the Bolgheri DOC. The planted varieties are Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, which are used to produce Lagone and Sor Ugo. The Morellino di Scansano is produced in the estate of Magliano in Toscana (Grosseto) 24 acres are planted with Sangiovese and Merlot grape varieties. Both properties are owned by the Pellegrini family, grape growers in the area for several generations.
Technical notes
Fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by four months aging in steel keeping the aromatics and acidity bright and focused.
