The Barbera grapes grown in the Barolo area, give full
structure, plummy and complex flavor, with spicy and ripe fruit, blackberry aroma and a hint of toasted tobacco. It ages quite well.
Wine Spectator 88 points - Flashy, with vanilla and baking spice notes matched to a core of black cherry fruit. This is firm and shows some wood tannins on the finish. Very fresh. Drink now through 2019. 3,802 cases imported.

Grown alongside nebbiolo in selected vineyards in the villages of Monforte and Castiglion Falletto and from grapes in our own vineyards in the villages of Serralunga and Treiso. Ageing occurs for two years in Yugoslavian oak casks of various sizes and in small French oak barrels. This is a unique wine - full and brave, rich and aristocratic, yet soft and supple.
