Wine Advocate 87 points - The noteworthy 2010 Reserva Unfiltered is a blend of 70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, 7% Mazuelo and 3% Graciano. Notes of lead pencil shavings, smoky oak, blackcurrants, black cherries and underbrush jump from the glass of this medium to full-bodied, Graves-like red that could easily pass for a Bordeaux in a blind tasting. The color is dense ruby/plum/purple and the wine is medium-bodied, beautifully textured and pure. Drink it over the next 5-7 years. (Nov 2014)
Shades of dark, very bright, cherry with slight purplish glints as the eye moves towards the rim of the glass.
On the nose very dominant red and black fruit (blackberry, redcurrant, wild plum). Move the glass and fine leather aromas mingling with
the fruit begin to appear. In the background select oaky spiciness comes through, still distinguishable but closely integrated into the wine.
In order of predominance you can find black pepper, caramel, toast, vanilla, cloves.
The initial taste is juicy, meaty, dominant, full, mineral, structured an elegant. You can find light tannic appendices which will be rounded off in a short period of time.
