Nice pale rose colour with tiny bubbles. Strong redfruit aromas on the nose On the palate, fruit is dominant too with vivacity and a hint of acidity. Supple and round.

The balance between the dominant Pinot Noir and the smaller percentage Chardonnay gives this wine its beautiful pale rose colour and its delicate notes of red fruits, strawberries, raspberries, wild strawberries and black currants.

OTH 90 points - Orange-pink. Bright, mineral-driven aromas of blood orange, lemon and green apple, with notes of chalk and quinine adding vivacity. Firm and tightly wound, offering zesty citrus and orchard fruit flavors and a kiss of bitter redcurrant. Closes with dominant citrus flavors, very good clarity and lingering florality. -Josh Reynolds  (Dec1 2010)

Wine Spectator 92 points - Very fragrant, boasting rose, violet, red berry and peach aromas and flavors. Opulent, even creamy, with underlying acidity that freshens the finish and a subtle aftertaste of fruit and spice. Drink now through 2012. –BS  (Nov 30 2009)

Wine Enthusiast 91 points - This is one of the most delicious rosé Champagnes around, a gorgeous vibrant red currant- and pink grapefruit-dominated wine. It’s ripe, but so well balanced, its acidity merging into a fine creaminess. It is a wine that is lively, vivid, but remaining dry. — R.V. (Jul /200)

The House of Champagne Delamotte is the fifth-oldest Champagne house in the region, founded in 1760 and located in the heart of the Côte des Blancs in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Sister house and contiguous to the House of Champagne Salon, Delamotte produces no more than 50,000 cases annually, ensuring that the vineyards of Delamotte dominate the expression of its wines, defining the house’s elegant, mineral style. Through hard work in the vineyards and long aging in the cellars, the House of Champagne Delamotte has come to be recognized as one of the leading Champagne producers in the Cote des Blancs.
Technical notes
(80% Pinot Noir/20% Chardonnay). Exclusively from grand cru vineyards. The Pinot Noir is sourced from vineyards located in the Montagne de Reims area northeast of Epernay, in the villages of Bouzy, Ambonnay and Tours-sur-Marne. The Chardonnay is from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. The wine was made in the traditional saignee method, extracting color and complexity from the skins during fermentation. Riddling is performed entirely by hand.

Food pairing
Companion for the aperitif but also served with poultry or red fruits desserts. The Delamotte Rosé can be enjoyed in many ways. Ideal service temperature: 8 to 10 °C.
