This wine displays tropical notes with a muskmelon aroma. The palate has a harmonious creamy texture redolent of stone fruit, particularly ripe peach and melon. The acidity is nicely balanced against the intense fruit creating a delightful, fruit focused wine.

Stylish, finely blended wines of a consistently outstanding quality are synonymous with Babich Wines. One of New Zealand's largest family-owned wine companies, Babich Wines was established in 1916 and has evolved as a major producer, now exporting to numerous markets around the world. With vineyards in Auckland, Hawke's Bay, Marlborough and Gisborne, they combine the craftsmanship of today with the experience won from years of pioneering viticulture and winemaking. Sustainable production and a willingness to invest in the future ensure that this approach will continue to deliver fine wines which fully reflect the fruit of the variety and the terroir of the land. These are wines that are designed to be enjoyed. Over 90 years on from its foundation, Babich Wines offers wines at several price points, all of them great value.
Wine maker notes
Winemaker vintage notes. "A heavy frost in early spring caused considerable crop loss at Gimblett Rd with minor effects at our Fernhill Vineyard on Korokipo Rd. The summer temperatures and rainfall were about average, with the exception of a week of 35C highs. The weather at harvest was mostly kind though cooler than average requiring us to leave fruit out longer so that ripeness was achieved. Highlights from the vintage are the Fernhill Chardonnay and Viognier looking very ripe and weighty at this stage bursting with fruit vindication for removing so much fruit from the vine at veraison."

Technical notes
The fruit was pressed and transferred to stainless steel tanks for a cold fermentation. Several yeast strains where used to showcase different characters of each parcel. The separate lots were combined and lightly fined before bottling.
