Wine Advocate 92 points - Alma de Luzon is the flagship of Finca Luzon. The 2005 is a blend of 70% Monastrell, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Syrah aged for 22 months in French and American oak. Purple-colored, it offers up a brooding bouquet of slate/mineral, blackberry, and black cherry. With excellent volume on the palate, it has loads of sweet fruit, enough structure to evolve for 4-6 years, and a pure, smooth finish. It will be at its best from 2012 to 2025. ” (Jun 2009)
