Gorgeous yellow, slightly golden colour. Its nose is a balanced combination of citrus, azahar flowers, apricots and peaches, all of which is rounded up by a woody side brought in by the 6 months 60% of the blend spent barrel-ageing. In mouth this Viognier is fresh and elegant. It displays complex fruity notes, along with a balanced acidity and a pleasant mineral ending.
| Food pairing |
| This is a well-suited wine for dishes that may seemhard to pair, such as sweet-and-sour preparations (glazed jam, Teriyaki sauce). It also goes quite well with stir-fries or wok-sauteed white meats and vegetables. In its list of favourite ingredients are dried tomatoes, Ginger, mustard and smoked flavours. It’s a good companion for meaty fish such as tuna, salmon or swordfish, also for any kind of cebiche. It also works as a dessert wine, even more so if the menu includes vanilla or fruits. If you are planning a cheese-and-wine, choose Gouda or a young Chevre. |
