The Domingo Molina winery is located high above the Cafayate Valley on the stony slopes of the Yacochuya district. The winery is managed by the three Domingo brothers Rafael the winemaker, Osvaldo the vineyard guy, and Gabriel the cheesemaker (and business guy). They are the second generation of Domingo brothers to start a new winery in Cafayate. They are producing small lots of wine and have set their sights on being one of the top boutique wineries in Argentina. They started with the best vineyard sites in northern Argentinas Salta Province these high altitude sites (6,600-7,400 feet) have a terroir which naturally pushes the vines to create concentrated, balanced wines with a strong mineral edge. Even while making their own history, they pay tribute to their parents with the name of the winery Domingo is their fathers last name and Molina is their mothers maiden name.
