Chateau Beau-Site is aptly named, it is beautifully situated and looks down at the Gironde River. The estate was bought in 1955 by Borie-Manoux, a family-run conglomerate founded in 1870. The company is one of the largest producers and negociants in the region and currently exports to 90 countries around the world.
The 18th century cellar at the estate is one of the oldest in the Medoc and offers perfect conditions to age and mature wines. The 85 acre vineyard is planted to Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), Merlot (30%), Cabernet Franc (7%) and Petit Verdot (3%) which is planted to gravel, clay and sand. The average age of the vines is 35 years old.
